Rory´s big day had finally arrived. We were all very excited to wish him a big happy birthday, but was Rory ready to celebrate...?
Finally he woke up smiling to cuddles, cards and presents ...
Happy with his birthday so far, he spotted an odd looking object, that just might be for him too...
... but what is it?
Of course...it´s a shiney, new BIKE! GO RORY, GO!
We asked Rory what he would like to do after school, his response was...`Have my tea on the beach.´ And so in true British style, come rain or shine....(in this case - gusty winds) we headed for Leblon beach with a tasty picnic tea.
Think he was very excited to find Baby Bells amongst the food, what a treat ...
You may have noticed that the beach was empty (gusty winds and potential rain), but that didn´t stop us from attempting a game of cricket and some cuddles to stay warm ...
With many attempts made to light the birthday candles on the beach, we retired back home to sing ´Parabens´ and eat some yummy cake.... and compare power tools, of course.
The day of the party had arrived and Rory was very excited, especially when he saw his birthday cake.
The sun was shining, the drinks were chilled and the activities were set out ready ...
Now all that was needed were some guests ...
Attempting to keep some british birthday traditions, we successfully played pass the parcel. For many, this was a novelty, making it even more enjoyable!
Finally, and the winner is.....
Much fun was also had on the pulla pulla...
It wasn´t just the children enjoying themselves either...
Rory was very excited at the idea of everyone rounding up to sing ´Parabens´ & ´Happy Birthday!´
Rory had been desperate all day to get his hands Buzz...prepare for the sugar overload
The party continued on with a little dancing and with the last few friends who stayed for a glass of red....
It was a great day and much fun was had, especially by the birthday boy...
Happy Birthday Rory! xxxx
