Gorgeous praia Grumari (August ´11)

Grumari beach has turned out to be our favourite beach in Rio de Janeiro. An hours drive from home, surrounded by mountains and rainforest, Grumari beach is a perfect escape from the city.

Here are some photos from our first visit there, which was on Father´s Day.

As ever, especially if you are British, a good beach needs a good sandcastle ...

After a hard day on the beach, we drove up to the overlooking mountains to relax with a mocequa (a brazilian fish speciality) beautiful view.
